Invisalign was the first clear aligner system. It revolutionized orthodontics by providing a means of moving teeth without braces. It also changed the way that orthodontic treatment is planned by allowing a virtual treatment to be completed before a single tooth is moved in real life.

More recently several other companies have emerged with aligners that are comparable to Invisalign and one, Spark, with aligners and technology that are better than Invisalign. Spark aligners are clearer and more stain resistant than the competition and Spark software allows alignment of the entire tooth including its root unlike the competition which only allows alignment of the crown part of the tooth.
